QuickView Plus is a great application that can open almost any file. The application installs itself as the default application for almost 300 file formats. Basically, what it does is allow you to open any file instantly from a single application. Mac OS X has a similar feature called Preview. Every time you want to open up a file, you simply select the application and you will be able to check it out. Of course, some times it is better to simply open up files with their original applications. I wouldn't be using an application like this to open my spreadsheets all the time. But Quick View Plus, like Preview, is useful for quickly looking at files. There are other benefits as well. For example, you can do without all the applications that require licensing for you to use them. If you are simply viewing files, you can do that and it won't harm you. On the other hand, there are also disadvantages. The options included into this application are not nearly as complete as the original application's. Still, this is a savior. It saves you time and money. |
